Our non-profit Market in Richmond is open for the Summer Season.
Friday – 10-6:30pm
Saturday – 10-5pm
Sunday – 11-5 pm
Our non-profit indoor farmer’s market open year round, at 2817 Mechanicsville Turnpike RVA 23223. The Market is conveniently located half a mile off interstate 64 (Rt 360/Mechanicsville E exit) and only five minutes from Downtown, Northside, Church Hill, Mechanicsville, Eastern Henrico and Highland Park. We are Richmond’s only year round Farmer’s Market located in a food desert.
Almost everything we sell is seasonal and local. We have fresh produce, dairy products, organic meats, fresh baked breads, gluten free breads and cookies, locally made products such as lotions and goat’s milk soaps, and much more! For a list of what is in season, and vendors, visit here.
We take cash, checks, debit + credit cards, as well as SNAP/EBT benefits for food items.
BUSFARM INC is a 501 C-3 non-profit organization based out of Richmond, VA. We started as a mobile farmer’s market from a converted school bus in 2009 and grew to include an indoor farmers market, CSA program and urban farm. Our mission is to grow, source and distribute fresh local products, and encourage a healthy diet of home-grown/hand-made items from our local food shed.
Together we can make positive changes to our food system, create local resiliency, educate our youth, create jobs and promote healthier living. All proceeds from our “Farm to Family” Market and CSA program go towards our BUSFARM projects: visiting schools, urban farming, nutrition education, and more. Please help support our efforts and our local farmers. Make a donation if you can or join our flexible CSA program today!
This is a community project that we hope will stimulate action and help educate people about the importance of local, seasonal food and to create a more sustainable system within our community. Tell a neighbor or friend and bring the kids! We have rabbits to pet too at the Market!
Thanks for all of your support in this local, national, and global slow food movement.
